Rammstein!
I recently saw the ban Rammstein in concert, and it was absolutely awesome.
Being Rammstein, i knew the music was going to be good. But one of the most unique and best things was the pyrotechnics and stage show. First of all, the fireworks were insane. There was fireworks set along with the music at parts, and there was even a part where the lead singer grabbed this rocket launcher like thing, shot it up in the air, and it flew out into the audience. It next hit the tower by the sound crew, and then came back at the stage. It was really cool looking. There was all the flames, fire, explosions, theatrics, that you could look for in a metal concert. Things like people being lit on fire, or angel wings with fire shooting out and fireworks. This combined with the music made it a great show. The energy and the people in the sold out stadium singing along (in German, not knowing most of what they were sining) was absolutely electric. There was people of all types there. Old people, goth people, kids, absolutely everyone. I missed most of the opening band, Combichrist, but from what i heard they were alright.
I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes metal, or wants to see a crazy concert with a crazy stage show

Osama Bin Laden Is Dead
By now You have probably heard about it from 90% of the people you know, and read it 7 times, but i thought i would share my views on it.
U.S.A! The people were shouting in the courtyard of the white house. It is obviously a great victory against terrorism. There have not been many definitive blows in the war on terrorism, but this is a massive one. But then i start thinking about the troops still stationed in the middle east, and i wonder what sort of repercussions there will be?
It is a great day, but i there will always be people to replace him. The terrorists may strike back as a retribution. These are the only things that i can see that are negative with this.
I , as well as most of the world, am glad he is gone off the earth, justice is served, and another step is taken to restoring peace in the middle east.

Game Soundtracks
Today i'm talking about game soundtracks. I find that a game sound track is essential. For example if i'm playing a medieval fantasy game, i need good medieval music to help me to get into the mood. It is the same with any game genre. It helps moments get more tense, or less. Some great soundtracks are, Halo 2, Morrowind, , or Fallout 3 with its oldies music. These soundtracks all help to make the game epic, whether it is opening the menu to Morrowind, or the level in Halo 2 where the covenant is falling apart around you, and you are listening to Blow Me Away by breaking Benjamin. As you roam the capital wasteland listening to either Threedog, or president John Henry Eden, it fits perfectly. Some of these games have songs that are so good i have downloaded them to put on my iPod. The concert video games live came to my hometown, and i would have seen them, had i been free that night. It would be a very cool screen show, as well as it would be amazing to hear the game music orchestrated live.
So what are your favorite sound tracks to video games?

My Favorite Band( also my view on pop music)
I always find the topic of my favorite band a challenging one. That is because there are so many amazing bands out there. It also depends on what mood im in as to what type of music i will be listening to. If I had to select my favorite bands they would be Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, and Rush. All of these bands memebers are amazingly talented, have produced great albums, and made a huge impact on there genre of music.
Something you might notice is that there are no pop artists on this list. That is because i have little respect, or like for pop for the most part. Sure, the songs might be catchy the first couple of times, but the lyrics are almost always terrible. There are some exceptions to this. Another thing is it doesnt take much skill to produce pop music, you dont even have to be a singer able to sing on key because of autotune, and with the zero instrumentals the people using the computers to generate the beats are the only people who need to know anything. That is why i think all other genres are superior to pop music. But everyone is entitled to there own opinion, and i will admit that there are some decent pop artists out there.
So what are your favorite bands and what is your view on pop music?

Limitless and Battle Los Angeles
Just saw the movie limitless today, and i actually liked it quite a bit. The story is about a man who acquires a pill that allows him to use 100% of his brain. I thought it was really cool. The concept was neat, and the acting was quite good also. I liked that this stuff seems like it could truly happen, if someone found this pill. It honestly made me a bit jealous, and i wish i could find a pill that would make me a genius. I give it an 4/5.
I also saw Battle Los Angeles two days ago. Although i heard alot of people didn't like it, i thought it was a good movie. The battle scenes were very good, although sometimes hard to follow as the camera was moving very fast. The aliens were cool, because they had both infantry and vehicles, and weren't weak, but not invincible either. The plot is about aliens coming and attacking majorly populated cities, and a squad of marines in L.A. trying to defend it. I would give the movie a 3.5/5

The Headstones ( Canadian music update)
I have never really listend to them before, but recently i have heard some of The Headstones music, a band up here in Canada, and they play some really good rock. There most popular song is probably there cover of Tweeter And The Monkey Man by the Traveling Wilburys. It is a sweet cover. I have been looking for more Canadian bands besides the obvious, Rush, NickelBack, and other large bands(not justin bieber).
A good metal band from Canada, 3 Inches of Blood, is quite small , but they are very good. I have heard them compared too quicker version of Iron Maiden, although the lead singer has an extremly high voice. It is really the only Canadian metal Band i know.
